Reference points
Water freezes at 0 °C (32 °F) and boils at 100 °C (212 °F) at sea level. Room temperature is about 20–22 °C (68–72 °F). Normal body temperature is about 37 °C (98.6 °F). A moderate oven is 180 °C (350 °F).
Kelvin starts at absolute zero and uses the same size of degree as Celsius, so a change of 1 K equals a change of 1 °C. Kelvin values are written without a degree sign.
