Random Number Generator
Generate one or many numbers between a minimum and a maximum — whole numbers or decimals, with or without repeats. The draw is controlled by a seed: change the seed to get new numbers, or keep it to get the same numbers again.

Formula
How to use it
- Set the minimum and maximum.
- Choose how many numbers you want and whether they are whole numbers or decimals.
- Turn on “No repeats” to draw without replacement, like numbers from a hat.
- Change the seed to any other number for a fresh draw.
Worked examples
Five whole numbers from 1 to 100 with seed 2026
- Your numbers
- 46, 67, 16, 69, 30
Six different numbers from 1 to 49 with seed 7
- Your numbers
- 1, 48, 27, 25, 29, 17
How random is it?
These numbers are pseudo-random: they come from a formula (the mulberry32 algorithm), not from a physical source. They are evenly spread and unpredictable enough for games, classroom draws, picking a name from a numbered list, sampling and test data.
They are not suitable for passwords, cryptography, or any lottery, raffle or prize draw with money or legal consequences. Anyone who knows the seed and settings can reproduce the list, and there are only about 4.3 billion different seeds. Use a certified or hardware random source for those.
Why there is a seed
Every calculator on this site gives the same answer for the same inputs, and this one is no exception. That is a feature: you can share the page link and someone else will see exactly the same draw, which lets them check it was not re-rolled.
For an unbiased draw, pick the seed in a way you do not control — the last digits of the current time, for instance — before you look at the result.
Questions people ask
How do I pick a random number between 1 and 100?
Set the minimum to 1, the maximum to 100 and the count to 1. Change the seed to draw again.
How do I get different numbers?
Change the seed. Any different whole number gives a different draw; the same seed with the same settings always repeats the same numbers.
Is this truly random?
No. It is pseudo-random — generated by a deterministic formula from the seed. That is fine for games and casual choices but not for security or for draws where money is at stake.
Can I use it to pick lottery numbers?
You can use it to choose which numbers to play — for example 6 from 1 to 49 with no repeats — since any choice is as likely to win as any other. It should not be used to run a lottery or decide a prize.
